IPL 2020: Big Things Just Around The Corner – Suryakumar Yadav After Knock Against RR

Suryakumar Yadav is one of the most accomplished batsmen in domestic cricket. he has been churning out runs for Mumbai in domestic cricket and now in the IPL. With his wait to get the India cap still on, the Mumbai Indians number three, feels big things are just around the corner. He scored a match-winning 79 as MI registered a 57-run win over Rajasthan Royals beating them after five years in the IPL.

After the knock, while speaking at the post-match presentation, Yadav spoke about his game. He said that he is feeling pretty confident of himself and that he is really batting well at the moment. He said that big things are around the corner for him, after having played well in the last two-three years.

“Talking about my dad, yes, he is always very anxious when a team is announced. So I have told him to relax as last 2-3 years have been really good. I have really enjoyed batting. And I personally believe I am batting really well and I feel big thing is just around the corner,” Suryakumar Yadav said to Times Now from Dubai.

Keeping The Basics Right – Suryakumar Yadav

He further said that he is keen on following the process and keeping the basics right, doing which he feels that the results will take care of themselves. He has been waiting for his much-deserved India cap after having a couple of good seasons in the domestic circuit.

“I just kept focus and belief in myself about what all can I do right and focus on small things properly as a part of the process and routine which will help me get there. Because if I think about the goal, I will completely miss the process. So I thought of focusing on the process and the result will automatically be taken care of,” Suryakumar Yadav added further.

Speaking of his IPL career, he blossomed into a finisher with KKR having played with the franchise from 2014-2017. His role with Mumbai Indians has now changed with him being given the responsibility to bat up the order. In 37 matches since joining MI in 2018, Yadav has scored 1116 runs at an average of 33.82 including seven fifties.
