IPL 2020: Match 11 – Delhi Capitals vs Sunrisers Hyderabad: 5 Key Players To Watch Out For

The Delhi Capitals vs Sunrisers Hyderabad (DC vs SRH) encounter is going to be an interesting one because one team is undefeated whereas the other hasn’t won a single game this season. David Warner would want to get his first win under the belt this season. If we look at the Sunrisers Hyderabad side, they haven’t really clicked this season. Baring Johnny Bairstow and Manish Pandey no one has seemed to have performed this year.

On the other hand, the Delhi Capitals are so far unbeaten in this tournament. After winning the first game against Kings Xi Punjab in the super over, they went on to defeat the three-time IPL champions Chennai Super Kings at Dubai. When we look at Delhi’s performers this season, from Prithvi Shaw to Kagiso Rabada there have been multiple players who have been performing since the first game.

With the Delhi – Hyderabad contest expected to be a decent affair between bat and ball, let’s take a look at the five key players who might just cause an impact today in the game.

Let’s take a look at the 5 key players to watch out for in the DC vs SRH game:

1. Manish Pandey

Manish Pandey

Manish Pandey by far has been the backbone of the Sunrisers middle order in this season. Though the other batsmen in the side haven’t clicked yet, its Pandey’s bat which has been doing all the talking this season. Also, let’s not forget how terrific a fielder Manish Pandey is which is why he’s added another dimension to the Hyderabad franchise with his fielding.

We might just see Manish Pandey score majority runs for the SRH side since his form so far has been great. In the two games he’s played so far he has scored 85 runs which include a valuable fifty in the previous game which helped them reach a respectable total of 144.

2. Prithvi Shaw

There is so much to talk about this young batsman of the Delhi Capitals side. Having been picked over the experienced Ajinkya Rahane, Prithvi Shaw hasn’t doubted his selection by one bit as he played a sensational knock against the Chennai Super Kings which also turned out to be a match-winning knock.

Just like the last game we should expect things from the man from Maharastra who has been in the talks for the last two years now. If he keeps playing the way he’s been playing we might just see him score match-winning knocks for his side this season.

3. Kagiso Rabada

The South African Speedster has looked in superb touch this season. He was instrumental in Delhi Capitals winning that super over against Kings XI Punjab where the batsmen had no escape from his toe crushing yorkers.

Looking at his current form, Rabada will be a key player for Delhi Capitals franchise this season. Rabada holds key if the Delhi franchise has any chance of winning the title this year.

4. Rashid Khan

Rashid Khan

We talked about how Rashid Khan hasn’t fired much in this IPL. He has been hit for runs and has failed to pick important wickets at crucial stages of the game.

Despite his low key form this season we expect the Afghanistan boy to bounce back in style and come out strong in the few games as we all know what sort of a match-winner Rashid Khan is. He will be one of the 5 players to watch in the DC vs SRH contest.

5. Shreyas Iyer

The Delhi Capitals skipper is another player we should watch out for not just in the next game but the entire IPL. India’s new number four has already proved his credentials in the international circuit and will look to replicate the same for the Delhi Capitals this season.

Last year under his captaincy DC finished third in the points table but failed to qualify for the finals. Which is why Shreyas Iyer will look to go big and hit big with his bat as he captains the Delhi Capitals side for the 3rd consecutive year this season.
