First-time finalists Delhi Capitals fae four-time champions in the IPL 2020 final on Tuesday as history beckons both sides. While Delhi are looking to win their maiden IPL title, Mumbai Indians are looking for their fifth IPL. The match-up is between two sides who are at opposite ends of the spectrum as far as their IPL legacy is concerned. However, come Tuesday, everything might change.
Mumbai Indians are the team who have been there and done that four times in the past. They know what it takes to play such big finals and are familiar with the pressure. They have big match players as well in the side which makes their job easier.
However, they would be wary of the threat that Delhi brings with them. Delhi’s win in the second qualifier has brought them in contention of winning the final. Also, Mumbai Indians have beaten Delhi Capitals thrice in the season so far, including the first qualifier. Therefore they will have their noses in front heading into the contest.

Delhi Capitals Look For Maiden IPL Title
Delhi Capitals registered a hard-fought win against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the second qualifier. SRH gave a run for their money, as the Delhi bowlers were able to keep their nerves in the big-semifinal so to say. This tension and nerves will double up against Mumbai Indians as the pressure of winning the title for the very first time will be on their minds.
Shikhar Dhawan, Marcus Stoinis and Kagiso Rabada were the central figures of their win over SRH. They will have to step up for one final time in the season against Mumbai Indians in the IPL 2020 final. The template was well set by Delhi against SRH. They will just need a repeat of that performance in the big finale. Of course, gameplan and matchups will be different against the defending champions.
Head to Head
Though they may well be neck to neck in the head to head contests over the years, Mumbai have beaten Delhi thrice in this season so far.
