1. Devdutt Padikkal

You know when a batsman is a star in the making when he has held his own with Ab de Villiers and Virat Kohli in the line-up. The best find of the season has to be the elegant batting mainstay for RCB this season Devdutt Padikkal.

The 20-year-old has performed consistently this season and is one of the prominent reasons why Royal Challengers Bangalore have emerged as one of the top contenders. The thing with Padikkal is that even very early in his career he looks a complete package who has both the power and touch game.

At the top of the order, he has taken advantage of the fielding restriction and given RCB a flying start. Whereas during the middle overs he has shown the ability to build an inning by rotating the strike and running hard between the wickets. If you take Padikkal out of the RCB this year the side will look less potent.

He is also a major contender to win the award for the emerging player of the season as he is only the second uncapped India player in IPL history to score 400 runs. A touch of Yuvraj Singh and Sourav Ganguly is also spotted when he bats which holds well for the future and hopefully he continues to prosper in IPL.
