IPL 2020: Watch-MS Dhoni return to practice at the Chepauk

  Former Indian Captain and the captain of Chennai Super Kings Mahendra Singh Dhoni returned to practice for the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League at Chepauk. 

MS Dhoni played his last game in the semi-finals of the world cup against New Zealand where he was beaten by the shoulder of Martin Guptill in Manchester. Dhoni was seen training with the team . CSK finished runner-ups in the last edition of IPL, where they lost to Mumbai Indians by 1 run. 

It was the first training session of the three times champions CSK where MS Dhoni-led the short group in the practice session. Murali Vijay, Ambati Rayudu, Karn Sharma and Piyush Chawla where also see in the practice session.

The Chennai crowd was really happy and excited to see the superstar after a long gap. Thousands of fans gathered at Chepauk to see there favorite stars sweating out. Three stands where open to the fans and Chennai welcomed its favorite son with the chants of "Dhoni, Dhoni, Dhoni".

MS Dhoni was seen practicing in his hometown Ranchi before he coming to Chennai. Dhoni hasn't played any competitive game after the semi-final loss in the world cup against New Zealand. The legendary cricketer then went onto serve his regiment in the Indian Army. MS Dhoni was also excluded from the contract-list as the legendary wicket-keeper hadn't played any game after the World Cup. Chief-Selector MSK Prasad also said that the Indian team had moved past MS Dhoni. 

Indian Coach Ravi Shastri cleared that Dhoni was still a contender for a spot in the squad for the T20 World Cup, scheduled for this October, in case he had a good IPL. The CSK players had a good three-hour-long practice session where Ambati Rayudu was seen hitting some balls while pacer KM Asif was bowling to him. Stephen Fleming and bowling coach Laxmipathy Balaji were also seen giving tips to the players. 

Three times champions will face Mumbai Indians in the first game of the IPL at Wankhede Stadium on 29th March.
