Andre Russell is likely to miss the game against Delhi Capitals after picking up a hamstring injury in the last game against KKR. CSK won the match by just one wicket with the match getting decided in the final delivery of the match. Itwas one of the best games in the second leg of IPL 2021 with KKR pushing CSK to the limits. Later today in Sharjah, KKR take on Delhi Capitals in a must-win game. The side is placed fourth on the points table eyeing to make it to the final four.

Meanwhile, Aakash Chopra while previewing the match on his YouTube channel said that Shakib Al Hasan should replace Russell in the KKR playing XI. The premier all-rounder has not played a single match of KKR’s UAE leg so far and Chopra believes that he should get a game against the Capitals.

Shakib Al Hasan Should Replace Andre Russell: Aakash Chopra

“KKR’s top 5 is absolutely fine but Andre Russell might not be there today, he has issues with his hamstring. So, I think they should play Shakib Al Hasan in his place. Another left arm spinner, I know DC have a lot of left handers but he will give you both batting and bowling” said Chopra.

Aakash Chopra further said that KKR skipper Eoin Morgan should use Lockie Ferguson’s overs more intellegently. Morgan finished up Ferguson’s overs well before the final overs which is why he did not bowl in the death.

“Lockie Ferguson’s overs should be used carefully. Because in the last match Narine was not given the 19th over. But who gives Lockie Ferguson 3 overs inside the first 10 overs? He is perhaps the best death bowler in the entire league right now, so his overs should be saved for the back end of the innings.”

Delhi Capitals have had the wood over KKR in the last five games having beaten KKR four times.
