Former India cricketer and analyst Aakash Chopra feels Mumbai Indians is one of the best teams in franchise cricket. However, he wants them to change their only problem in the tournament.

The defending champions are fourth on the points table, with four wins in seven matches and a Net Run Rate of +0.062. In a video shared on Aakash Chopra’s Youtube Channel, he highlighted that Mumbai Indians are slow starters, and need to change that. Chopra said,

“The Mumbai Indians are at No.4 at the moment, that spot does not suit them. They have just the one problem, that they start a new tournament slowly, they will have to change that.”

Aakash Chopra also believes that the Mumbai Indians will dominate the UAE leg of the Indian Premier League. He added,

“But then they pick up. If they want, this is the team that does not require to play four overseas players. Everything looks absolutely hunky-dory when we talk about the Mumbai franchise.”

Mumbai Indians are perhaps the best franchise T20 team on the planet: Aakash Chopra

Aakash Chopra further opined that Mumbai Indians are one of the best T20 franchises and dominates the opposition. He pointed out that arsenal that the Mumbai Indians have, consisting of top Indian stars, such as the likes of Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah. Aakash Chopra said,

“They are actually like one of the best teams, perhaps the best T20 team on the planet if we talk about franchise cricket. They will just start steamrolling the opposition.”

“Rohit Sharma – the kind of form that the guy is in. He is going to be the captain. Ishan Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav, Rahul Chahar – they are all in the World Cup team. They have Jasprit Bumrah, Krunal Pandya and Hardik Pandya,” Aakash Chopra signed off.
