IPL 2021: Netizens Target MS Dhoni For Flopping In Match Situation While Excelling At Practice Sessions

MS Dhoni despite all his laurels as an international cricketer continues to be the target of netizens on Twitter. He is repeatedly criticised for playing slowly in recent times and not pushing the strike rate when it matters. His failure to get big scores in the IPL lately has also caught the eye if his critics who continue to speak against him for the same.

Yet again, the CSK skipper had to face the wrath of a random Twitter use who has criticised him of hitting the balls only during net sessions. The CSK official Twitter handle posted a video of a training session with Dhoni, Suresh Raina amongst other practicing range hitting.

Incidentally, MS Dhoni lost a ball during practice and he himself went to find it behind the bushes of the ICC academy. As per what the video shows, his teammates found the ball and returned back to the studio with it.

MS Dhoni Goes Ball Searching

The MS Dhoni-led franchise finished second last in the 2020 edition of the IPL which was held in UAE. This time around they have turned the tables and have looked in fine form. The addition of Suresh Raina back into the side has boosted their chances of winning. Before the IPL was stopped due to Covid-19 CSK lost to arch-rivals Mumbai Indians in a close encounter.

CSK Second On IPL 2021 Points Table

CSK have five wins to their name in IPL 2021 and are only two points behind top-ranked Delhi Capitals (DC). Dhoni’s participation in IPL from next year onwards remains uncertain, however, as per CSK management, he will continue to remain a part of CSK for a few more years.

Raina and Dhoni did not have the best starts to their IPL 2021. They did not score as many runs they wanted in the first half. This both will be looking to make up for it in the second half. The side is placed second in the points table with 10 points from seven games. They lost against Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals in the first half.
