Their NRR, which has been a nemesis over the years, is likely to be an ally going into the next few days.
On the other hand, the qualification chances for RR are slim after their heavy defeat to Mumbai Indians in Sharjah. They now need to beat KKR by a margin of around 125 runs and then hope that Sunrisers Hyderabad go on to beat MI by around 40 runs on Friday to qualify for the playoffs.
