Virat Kohli has joined the Indian team bubble after Royal Challengers Bangalore made an exit from IPL 2021 losing the Eliminator to Kolkata Knight Riders. KKR take on Chennai Super Kings in the final later tonight in Dubai. This IPL was played in a tight bio-bubble soaking a lot of energy in the process from the players.
Various players in the past have spoken about how difficult it is playing in the bio-bubble and Virat Kohli posted a picture on his Twitter handle which is apt to express how it feels. He posted a picture of his arms tied with a rope with him sitting in a place helplessly.
Previously Protean spinner Tabraiz Shamsi opined that cricketers sometimes feel like ‘caged circus animals’ when going through tours in bio-bubbles.
“I don’t think everyone truly understands the impact these things have on us, our families and our lives outside of cricket. Sometimes it just feels like we are caged circus animals who only get taken outside when it’s time to practice and play matches to entertain the crowds,” Shamsi had tweeted.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli has now stepped down from captaincy for Bangalore and will continue to play as a player. RCB’s dream of winning the title still remains unachieved as the franchise is looking forward to their next skipper to help them live their dream.
“I have tried my best to create a culture here where youngsters could come in and play with freedom and belief. It is something I have done with India as well. I have given my best. I don’t know how the response has been, but I have given 120% to this franchise every time, which is something I will now do as a player. It is a great time to regroup and restructure for the next three years with people who will take this ahead. [On him staying with RCB] Yes definitely, I don’t see myself playing anywhere else. Loyalty matters more to me than worldly pleasures. I would be in the RCB till the last day I play in the IPL” said Kohli.
In 140 matches as RCB skipper, Virat Kohli won 66 games and lost 70 with four games ending in no-result.
