It was Ganesh Chaturthi on Friday and the nation celebrated it as well. And, the new addition to the list is the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) franchise in the UAE prior to the second phase of the IPL 2021 as well.

They took to Instagram to share a video of the celebration where they can be seen gathering together on the auspicious occasion as well.

The post was captioned: “Kozhukattais & Kondattams! 🎥 Super Fam’s Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations  #GaneshChaturthi #WhisPodu #Yellove .” You can watch the clip below:

However, CSK had a poor show in the 2020 edition, where they failed to qualify for the knockout stages that too for the very first time since the beginning. But they bounced back well this season and did exceptionally well before the tournament was suspended due to COVID-19.

CSK have won seven games and placed second in the points table when the tournament was cancelled. The Delhi Capitals topped the chart with 12 points from eight matches. Meanwhile, RCB placed third with 10 points as well.

Chennai Super Kings To Resume Campaign Against Mumbai Indians On September 19

Notably, the rest of the Indian Premier League will take place in the UAE from September 19 to October 15. The Mumbai Indians will take on the Chennai Super Kings team in the 30th match of the season as well. 29 games of the tournament took place at the first stage in India as well.

However, CSK were among the first teams to reach the UAE and prepare for the tournament. The Indian contingent, including the captain MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina, were part of the squad that travelled to the UAE early as well.

However, the team looks to be in good spirits so far as the franchise has shared some reels and videos of the team having fun during their practice sessions. It will be interesting to see how CSK will do well in the IPL 2021.
