Sunrisers Hyderabad’s (SRH) star batter David Warner has begun his preparations for the second phase of IPL 2021. The remainder of the tournament is scheduled to commence on September 19 in the UAE with defending champions Mumbai Indians locking horns with Chennai Super Kings in Dubai.

Meanwhile, the Aussie cricketer is currently in isolation after landing in the UAE a couple of days back. Strictly following the Covid-19 protocols, David Warner has still not been missing out on his workouts especially his shadow batting drills during his hotel-bound practice sessions.

The batter was seen stepping down and practicing some shots inside his hotel room.

Can David Warner turn it around for Sunrisers Hyderabad?

The 34-year-old David Warner didn’t had a great outing in the first half of IPL 2021 where he managed only 193 runs in 7 matches. He was also stripped off from his captaincy midway to the tournament earlier this year owing to Sunrisers Hyderabad’s poor run.

Warner will be desperate to turn things around for himself with the bat and land in the Australian side in the best of form ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup, which starts from October 17.

Meanwhile, SRH received a major jolt as their star wicketkeeper-batsman England’s Jonny Bairstow who had scored the most runs for them in the first half of the league pulled out from the remainder of the IPL being played in UAE.

SRH have probably had their worst ever run in the competition so far with just 1 win under their belt and 6 losses, which finds them at the bottom of the IPL 2021 table standings. They begin their campaign in the 2nd phase against Delhi Capitals on September 22.
