The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) contingent flew off to the UAE on Sunday, August 29 for the second half of the tournament. They resume their campaign against KKR on September 20. The BCCI had earlier postpone the IPL 2021 after reports of players testing COVID positive came out from different camps. Earlier, the BCCI announced a date between September 19 to October 15 to play out the remaining 31 games
RCB are placed third on the points table at the moment with 10 points from seven games. They won five and lost two in the first half which was played in India.

Meanwhile, the RCB Twitter handle posted a video of their players sharing their travel stories while their flight to the UAE. The likes of Sahin Baby, Navdeep Saini, Devdutt Padikkal shared their travel stories Padikkal also shared his experience with the Indian team in the Sri Lanka series. The southpaw got his maiden call-up for the T20I series and scored an impressive 29 in his debut game.
In IPL 2021 he has scored 195 runs in six games so far following his tally of 473 runs in IPL 2020. Medium-pacer Harshal Patel is topping the wicket-takers list with 17 wickets in his first seven games. The side acquired four new players as replacements ahead of IPL 2021. Tim David, George Gartin and Sri Lankan players Wanindu Hasaranga and Dushmantha Chameera were roped in ahead of the UAE leg. The Lankan duo were also given the NOC’s and cleared off to participate in the UAE leg.
Skipper Virat Kohli who is going through a lean patch currently in his Test career scored 198 runs from the first seven games in the 2021 season so far. He will join the side after the Test series against England is over.
