Royal Challengers Bangalore batter Virat Kohli gifted one of his bats to Gujarat Titans’ spinner Rashid Khan. The two players were gearing up for the Indian Premier League (IPL) match between the Royal Challengers Bangalore and the Gujarat Titans.
Both the teams held their practice sessions at the BKC Ground in Mumbai. Rashid was shadow practicing with a bat at the ground along with Virat Kohli. He later revealed that the bat has been gifted by Virat Kohli to him. The spinner posted a video on his social media handle on Wednesday.
Rashid captioned the post as, “Always a pleasure meeting you @virat.kohli ❤️Thank you for the gift 😉 #ViratKohli #AavaDe #GujaratTitans”
On the other hand, Virat Kohli has had a disastrous season so far for the Royal Challengers Bangalore. He was retained by the franchise for 15 crores ahead of the auctions. In thirteen matches, Kohli averages 19.67, scoring 236 runs at a strike rate of 113.46. This season, his only fifty came against the Gujarat Titans in a losing cause.
RCB take on Gujarat Titans in a must-win game
On Thursday, the Royal Challengers Bangalore will play against Gujarat Titans at the Wankhede Stadium. The Titans have already qualified for the playoffs and will be hoping to continue the winning momentum. They have also sealed a spot in the top two of the points table.
On the other hand, the match holds great importance for the Faf Du Plessis-led team, as a win will keep them alive in the playoff race. However, it won’t guarantee them a spot.
