Punjab Kings

The match between Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) will take place on Friday at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Stadium in Dharamsala. Both PBKS and RR have 12 points after 13 games and must win their final league game to have a chance at making the IPL 2023 playoffs.

To have a chance of qualifying, both teams will, however, be dependent on the outcomes of the teams. Due to a higher Net Run Rate (NRR), Rajasthan Royals are placed sixth in the points standings, while Punjab Kings are ranked eighth.

Let’s look at some players who can take the most wickets in the match:

Kagiso Rabada: After returning to PBKS, Kagiso Rabada played eleven in the most recent game, but he ended up allowing 36 runs in three overs without picking up a wicket. The PBKS star has played five games in the IPL 2023 so far, taking five wickets at a 38.40 average and a 10.10 economy rate.

The 27-year-old South African speedster has played a total of six games against RR and taken 10 wickets at an average of 20/60 and an economy rate of 8/70.

Arshdeep Singh: In the upcoming game, Punjab Kings will rely heavily on the left-arm pacer. With an average of 28.31 and a 9.67 economy rate, he has taken 16 wickets in 13 games. Arshdeep currently has a tournament-high six-way tie for most wickets taken.

He has faced the Rajasthan Royals (RR) in six games overall, taking 14 wickets at an average of 15 points and an economy rate of 9 points. Arshdeep, who failed to pick up a wicket in the previous game, will attempt to make a strong comeback in the crucial game.

Trent Boult: A left-arm pacer from New Zealand, has taken 12 wickets in nine games for an average of 23.98 and an economy rate of 8.14. He took two wickets for 15 runs in three overs against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in his most recent match.

Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Jason Roy, the two KKR openers, were both bowled out by Boult. Boult has faced the Punjab Kings (PBKS) in 11 games and has taken eight wickets with an average of 47.37 and an economy rate of 9.35.
