IPL 2023: 3 Players Who Could Pick Most Wickets Between RCB And MI

RCB IPL 2023

RCB IPL 2023

Mumbai Indians will host Royal Challengers Bangalore in the reverse fixture to be played at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on 9 May in the IPL 2023. The pitch at Mumbai is a great pitch for batting that can put enough pressure with short boundaries.

Royal Challengers Bangalore has a decent pace bowling attack with the likes of Mohammed Siraj and Josh Hazlewood that can make use of the conditions. On the other hand, Mumbai Indians have been struggling with their bowling as Jofra Archer looked out of sorts and other bowlers lack experience.

It promises to be an exciting battle in which team bowling would come on top and help to gain 2 important points.

Here we look at the 3 Players Who Could Pick the Most Wickets Between RCB and MI

  1. Mohammed Siraj

Mohammed Siraj has been in brilliant form for Royal Challengers Bangalore this season. He has picked wickets during the first six overs and put enough pressure on opponent batters.

For the first time in this year’s IPL, Siraj did not pick any wickets during the first six overs as he was smashed by Phil Salt and David Warner at Arun Jaitley Stadium, New Delhi.

Siraj would be hoping to get back his mojo by picking up early wickets and putting pressure on Mumbai Indians’ batters.

  1. Piyush Chawla

Piyush Chawla had another great outing in the tournament with a brilliant performance against Chennai Super Kings. He got an initial breakthrough by dismissing Ruturaj Gaikwad and then dismissed Ajinkya Rahane to finish with figures of 2 for 25.

When these two sides met at Bengaluru, the veteran spinner did not feature in the playing XI. He has been in great form for Mumbai Indians this season and kept the batters under check.

Mumbai Indians fans would be hoping that Piyush Chawla comes to the party again on a brilliant batting pitch and stem the run flow against RCB’s top order.

  1. Josh Hazlewood

After an impressive performance against Lucknow Super Giants in Lucknow, Josh Hazlewood was put under pressure by Phil Salt. He looked ordinary giving away freebies.

He eventually got rid of DC captain David Warner before the field restrictions. It was a decent spell as he gave away 29 runs in his 3 overs and grabbed 1 wicket.

Hazlewood is coming back after an injury and would be hoping to do well against Mumbai Indians tomorrow picking early wickets. He will play a key role in helping RCB put pressure on MI batters depending on the situation.
