3 Players Who Could Score Most Runs between CSK and DC

Chennai Super Kings will host Delhi Capitals in their first encounter this season to be played at Cheapuk, Chennai on 10 May 2023. It promises to be an exciting match as Delhi Capitals will be aiming continue to upset Chennai at their own den.

The pitch at Chennai promises to be a decent batting pitch and can put pressure on opponent bowlers. Delhi Capitals won their previous match against Royal Challengers Bangalore with explosive batting by Phil Salt and helped them to register a comprehensive win.

Both teams would be looking to make use of the batting conditions and help their franchise win the matches.

Here we look at the 3 Players Who Could Score Most Runs between CSK and DC

  1. Devon Conway

Devon Conway continued his brilliant form with another superb knock against Mumbai Indians. Chasing down modest target, Conway showed intent to keep the pressure and made the batting look easy.

He was eventually dismissed for 44 off 42 deliveries and guided CSK towards a win. His form augers well for Chennai Super Kings in tomorrow’s match. Conway has been in excellent form this season and hopes to provide another flying start along with Ruturaj Gaikwad.

Conway can play long innings and create an impact. With the pitch at Chennai likely to help the spinners, he would look to make life tough for Delhi Capitals bowlers.

  1. Phil Salt

Phil Salt made a big impact in the previous match against Royal Challengers Bangalore. Chasing down 182 runs to win, Salt put enough pressure on Siraj and other bowlers in the first six overs. He looked in great touch keeping the momentum going for Delhi Capitals.

He scored 87 off 45 deliveries with 8 fours and 6 sixes at a strike rate of 193.33. It was a brilliant knock by Salt taking on RCB bowlers. For his match winning knock, Salt was named the player of the match award.

Salt will play a key role for Delhi Capitals to give another aggressive start against CSK bowlers and allow DC to challenge MS Dhoni led side.

  1. Ruturaj Gaikwad

Ruturaj Gaikwad showed some tremendous form in the previous match against Mumbai Indians. He played with intent and scored quickfire 30 off 18 deliveries laying a strong foundation for a comfortable win.

Gaikwad has formed some brilliant partnerships with Conway. He will be looking for another good beginning against Delhi Capitals and help CSK to inch closer to the playoff stage.

He has all the shots in the making and keep momentum going to consolidate their position at number 2 spot.
