Royal Challengers Bangalore will take on Delhi Capitals in the first match of the doubleheader to be played at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru today at 3.30 PM in the IPL 2023.
RCB lost their previous at this venue against Lucknow Super Giants on the last delivery after scoring 212 for 2. On other hand, Delhi Capitals lost their fourth successive match against Mumbai Indians in a thrilling encounter.
The pitch at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru promises to be another belter helping the batters. Both teams’ bowling has not been great enough and would look for improved performances in today’s match.
Here we look at the 3 Players who will pick the most wickets between RCB and DC
- Mohammed Siraj
Mohammed Siraj has been the pick of bowlers for Royal Challengers Bangalore. He was brilliant in the previous match against Lucknow Super Giants. During his four-over spell, Siraj got the initial breakthrough dismissing dangerous Kyle Mayers.
Siraj struck again to get rid of dangerous Marcus Stoinis. He produced another brilliant wicket dismissing dangerous Nicolas Pooran and bought RCB into the match.
He will be important for RCB to pick early wickets in the first six overs and keep Delhi Capitals openers Warner and his opening partnership quiet.
- Anrich Nortje
The South African speedster Anrich Nortje had a decent outing against Mumbai Indians. With Delhi Capitals’ bowling looking a little weak, Nortje has lots of responsibility to provide early wickets and put the opponent batters under pressure.
He almost took Delhi Capitals to a win in the previous match against Mumbai Indians with Yorkers at the end against Tim David and Cameron Green.
Despite not picking any wickets in the match against MI, Nortje will be a key bowler for Delhi Capitals to provide early breakthroughs by getting informed RCB openers.
- Kuldeep Yadav
Kuldeep Yadav has not been great so far during IPL 2022. He could not pick any wickets in the match against Mumbai Indians as Rohit Sharma put enough pressure on him.
He gave away 23 runs in his 2 overs and was not given any overs by David Warner. The pressure is on him to deliver the goods against Royal Challengers Bangalore.
If Delhi Capitals pick early wickets, then it will be on Kuldeep Yadav to showcase his bowling skills and not allow Royal Challengers Bangalore batters to score runs freely.
