IPL 2023: 3 Players Who Will Score Most Runs Between LSG And PBKS

PBKS

PBKS

Lucknow Super Giants will face Punjab Kings at Ekana Stadium, Lucknow in the second match of the doubleheader at 7.30 PM on April 15 in the IPL 2023.

KL Rahul-led side chased down 213 runs against M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. Thanks to Marcus Stoinis and Nicolas Pooran’s brilliance, LSG chase down the target on the last ball.

On other hand, Punjab Kings lost their previous match against Gujarat Titans at home and would be hoping that their batters click to provide a challenge to Lucknow Super Giants.

Both teams have top-quality batters that can change the course of the game and help their teams win.

Here we look at the 3 Players who will score the most runs between LSG and PBKS

  1. Shikhar Dhawan

Punjab Kings captain Shikhar Dhawan has been in sensational form so far during IPL 2023. He did not contribute much against Gujarat Titans and the team could not post a big total to put enough pressure on GT batters.

Dhawan is currently the orange cap holder with 233 runs from 4 matches and would be hoping to provide another solid start to Punjab Kings if they need to put pressure on the Lucknow Super Giants side.

He needs to bide his time and put a score on the board so that Punjab Kings can put pressure on the LSG batters.

  1. Quinton de Kock

The South African explosive opener Quinton de Kock could be included in the playing XI replacing Kyle Mayers. De Kock has been in sensational form smashing a century off 44 balls against West Indies in the recently concluded T20I series at home.

Kyle Mayers has not performed according to expectations in the last two matches against Royal Challengers Bangalore and Sunrisers Hyderabad.

De Kock will look to provide a flying start to the Lucknow Super Giants franchise and put enough pressure on Punjab Kings bowlers.

  1. Nicolas Pooran

Nicolas Pooran showed his array of strokes in a match-winning performance against Royal Challengers Bangalore at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru.

Chasing down 213 runs to win, LSG looked down and out as Pooran showed his class with big hits putting RCB bowlers under pressure. He destroyed RCB bowling with the second-fastest fifty in IPL history of 14 deliveries.

Pooran smashed 62 off 19 deliveries with 4 fours and 7 sixes that almost took Lucknow Super Giants home. He has been in great form for Lucknow Super Giants this season and would be eager to continue his brilliant form against Punjab Kings.
