Arjun Tendulkar may not play for the Mumbai Indians (MI) in their IPL 2023 match against the SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH), according to Aakash Chopra.

On Tuesday, April 18, the two teams will face off at Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. In the previous match between MI and the Kolkata Knight Riders, Tendulkar failed to pick up a wicket and allowed 17 runs in his two overs of IPL bowling.

Arjun Tendulkar and Duan Jansen are unlikely to be included in the Mumbai Indians’ XI, according to Chopra, who predicted this match in a video posted to his YouTube channel.

“I think there will be some changes in the way we bowl here. Duan Jansen won’t be around. If he is available, you will either see Jofra Archer or Jason Behrendorff. In any case, Riley Meredith will be there. There is a good chance that you won’t see Arjun Tendulkar playing, in my opinion”.

The previous Indian starter observes Rohit Sharma and company. By hiring Shams Mulani or Kumar Kartikeya, they would strengthen their spin-bowling team, thinking:

Additionally, there will be some changes to spin bowling. Due to the abundance of right-handers in Hyderabad, either Kumar Kartikeya or Shams Mulani can participate in this match. You would want to bowl with a lot of spins to deflect the ball. Therefore, the powerplay overshadows itself with a lot of spins from Piyush Chawla or Kumar Kartikeya in front of Harry Brook”.

With five victories so far in IPL 2023, Piyush Chawla is the Mumbai Indians’ most productive bowler. Kartikeya’s only game yielded figures of 1/24 off four overs, but Mulani has yet to take the field in the competition.

Mumbai has batting prowess. In terms of Cameron Green’s position at bat, they slightly mislead us. He was given the top spot. He doesn’t go there, though. Then came Suryakumar Yadav, followed by Ishan Kishan and Rohit Sharma”.

The ex-cricketer-turned-commentator predicts that the five-time champions will stick with the same batting order they used against KKR.

Surya’s performance is strong. It felt good to see him in shape once more. Tim David, Cameron Green, Nehal Wadhera, and Tilak Varma came next. The batting order will be the same as it was earlier”.

Against KKR, Rohit Sharma served as the Mumbai Indians’ “Impact Player.”. In that game, MI’s Suryakumar Yadav batted at No. After totalling just 16 runs in his first three outings, he improved to No. 3 and played a 43-run knock.
