IPL 2023: Doull Alerts Kagiso Rabada Of PBKS After He Received Two No-Balls Against LSG

“This behaviour is unacceptable. You’re an international player”, Doull tells Kagiso Rabada of PBKS after he received two no-balls against LSG.

When Rabada stepped out of bounds for the second time in the game against LSG on Friday, former New Zealand cricketer Simon Doull reacted harshly.

In order to advance to an emphatic 56-run victory in Mohali. The Lucknow Super Giants registered the highest score in IPL 2023 (257/5). The second-highest total ever and pounded the Punjab Kings bowlers to every corner of the field.

Despite taking two wickets for PBKS, Kagiso Rabada gave up 52 runs in four overs. But more than just the boundaries, the South African fast bowler’s extras really infuriated the PBKS team management.

LSG won for the fifth time in eight games, while PBKS lost for the fourth time in eight games.

Rabada threw two wides and two no-balls. Rabadda gave them two free hits on a calm Mohali track where the LSG batters were already mowing down the PBKS bowlers.

When Rabada stepped out of bounds twice in the Friday game, former New Zealand cricketer Simon Doull took Rabada to task harshly.

In the fifth ball of the 16th over, Rabada bowled a no-ball, allowing LSG a free hit and an extra run. Thankfully, the subsequent delivery, which followed his next wide ball, produced a single.

“This behaviour is unacceptable. You play bowling internationally. He’s always pushing it; even when he falls behind, he’s only behind by an inch”, said Doull, who was providing commentary.

With Punjab Kings being wasteful, the brutal hitting of Mayers (54 off 24) and Stoinis (72 off 40) propelled Lucknow Super Giants to 257 for five.

Punjab remained behind in the game despite scoring at a respectable rate to end with 201 in 19.5 overs, needing almost 13 runs per over to pull off an unlikely chase.

Only two balls were played by captain Shikhar Dhawan after he came back. The most effective bowler had 4/37 in 4 overs, according to young pacer Yash Thakur.

The new ball was given to me as a result of their excitement. On a flat one, nobody enjoys bowling. After the game, Stoinis said, “The home wicket suits me more because my change of pace helps me there”.
