IPL 2023

IPL 2023

On May 24, Mumbai Indians and Lucknow Super Giants will square off in the Eliminator of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

LSG has also shown their strength this season by qualifying, while MI will attempt to draw on their IPL playoff experience. Players from both teams will be eager to stake out a position on the big stage.

The major key player’s battles are listed below:

Mumbai ndians in IPL 2023

1. Jason Behrendorff vs Quinton de Kock

In this game, Quinton de Kock will be crucial to LSG’s strategies. While Jason Behrendorff will try to get rid of him quickly, he will be in charge of giving them a strong start.

At 39.55 in the IPL’s Powerplay, De Kock has 1,701 runs accumulated. In 96 IPL matches, he fell in this phase 43 times.
This season, Behrendorff has taken eight wickets during powerplays.

2 Piyush Chawla vs Nicholas Pooran
Given the circumstances, Piyush Chawla will play a significant role for MI in this game. To cheaply fire Nicholas Pooran will be his main obstacle.

Attacking the opposing spinners is something Pooran enjoys doing. In middle overs this year (SR: 166.16), he has scored 221 runs. Chawla, on the other hand, has taken the most wickets this season with 18 in that phase.

3 Ravi Bishnoi vs Suryakumar Yadav
Although Suryakumar Yadav got off to a slow start, he has improved as the competition has gone on. He is essential to MI’s playoff strategy.

Ravi Bishnoi of LSG will be his biggest challenge, though. In six IPL games, SKY has lost three times to wrist spinners and has batted with a dismal strike rate of 116. In the middle overs (7–16), Bishnoi has taken 15 wickets.

4 Ishan Kishan vs Amit Mishra

LSG may be forced to use Amit Mishra due to the spin-friendly conditions at Chepauk, and they will undoubtedly benefit from his experience. He matches up well against Ishan Kishan. Krunal Pandya, the LSG captain, might make very wise use of this.

Three times in as many games, Kishan has lost to Mishra. In 11 innings this season, the Southpaw has been out by spinners eight times (SR: 131.35).
