IPL 2023: Fans Are Upset By Samson’s Bizarre Interview Following The Shocking 59-All Out Against The RCB

The Rajasthan Royals put on an odd batting display. As they were bowled out for just 59 runs in their match against the RCB.

The Rajasthan Royals’ shocking batting collapse against the Royal Challengers Bangalore on Sunday afternoon resulted in a 112-run loss for the team in Jaipur after they were bowled out for just 59.

The Royals, who were attempting to chase down a 172-run target at home, were completely outclassed by RCB’s blistering pace bowling early in the innings.

Mohammed Siraj and Wayne Parnell claimed three early wickets within the first 10 deliveries of the innings. After a disastrous start, the RR eventually lost five wickets in the Powerplay and couldn’t recover.

Sanju Samson Has A Hard Time Responding To A Post-Match Question

In the post-game interview, Sanju Samson appeared as though he was at a loss for words and appeared equally astounded by his team’s disappointing batting collapse.

Samson claimed that the side’s strategy was to take advantage of the Powerplay and that it failed. But the RR captain insisted that the defeat will be difficult to accept.

“I believe our top three scored a lot of runs. We push ourselves on the power play, but it didn’t work today. To analyze or break down the game would be premature.

Samson, (Yashasvi) Jaiswal and Jos (Buttler) have all played the same way throughout: “You need to go hard in the powerplay knowing the ball was getting slower and older,” Samson said.

The RCB bowlers deserve praise for their vigour and ferocity. I believe that this was a target that might have come down to the wire; if we had a strong powerplay, I anticipated a close game ”.

The Royals had a strong start to the season, winning four of their first five games. But the team has since struggled with significant inconsistency, losing six of their next eight games. Samson stated that he had no answer when asked to identify the cause of such a stunning decline in the season.

“That’s a really good question”. Samson said, “I was just considering where we went wrong after watching the batting collapse. I don’t think I have an answer just yet”.

Fans expressed displeasure over the captain’s apparent lack of words after Samson’s response:

Samson gave hope for a turnaround, even though the Royals’ situation for playoff qualification is now complicated because the team must win its final game and rely on favourable outcomes in other games.

“We are all aware of the IPL’s nature and have witnessed some amusing events during the league stage. In order to win the game in Dharamshala, we must remain strong, take a day off, and prepare”, Samson said.
