Gujarat Titans have won three of the four matches between these two teams in the IPL so far, including the match from the league stage earlier this year.

Gujarat Titans (GT) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will square off in the eagerly awaited Indian Premier League 2023 championship game on Sunday, May 28, at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium.

The two teams will play each other for the third time this season. GT has won three of the four IPL matches between the two teams, including the match from earlier this season’s league stage. Nevertheless, CSK prevailed in their most recent match.

CSK defeated GT in the opening round of qualifying to secure their spot in the championship game

In 20 overs while batting first after losing the toss, they amassed 172 runs for the loss of seven wickets.

Both of the openers, Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devon Conway, maintained their outstanding performance from this season and put up 87 runs for the first wicket. GT’s response was only 157 runs, which resulted in a 15-run loss.

Shubman Gill led GT in scoring with 42 runs off of 38 deliveries, but no other batter was able to hold down the crease for an extended period of time. Even though Rashid Khan scored 30 runs off of 16 deliveries, it wasn’t enough.

GT lost the toss and elected to bat first in the second qualifier match against the Mumbai Indians on Friday. Shubman Gill scored his third century of the year, passing Faf du Plessis to become the competition’s top run-scorer.

He contributed to GT scoring a total of 233 runs for the loss of three wickets while scoring 129 runs at an astounding 215 strike rate. MI lost three wickets in the PowerPlay as a response. However, the trio of Tilak Varma, Cameron Green, and Suryakumar Yadav gave the innings stability.

Upon Suryakumar’s dismissal in the 15th over, the other batters were unable to make much progress. MI lost the game by 62 runs in the end after being all out for 171 runs in 18-point 2 overs.

The Pacers might be able to get a little swing in the first few overs, but the batters can anticipate a good time in the middle. Because of the relatively short boundaries and the quick pace of the outfield, the field and its surroundings are also helpful.
