Mumbai Indian pacer Jofra Archer busts fans for leaving the ongoing IPL season to have elbow surgery in Belgium. This came after the England pacer flew abroad to visit a specialist during his absence to miss four matches in a row before returning to India.

The Mumbai Indian death bowling in the previous two matches against Punjab Kings and Gujarat Titans looked ordinary.  “Putting out an article without knowing the facts & without my consent is crazy. Whoever the reporter is shame on you, an already worrying and troubling time for a player and you exploit it for your personal gain, it’s people like you that are the problem.”

Jofra Archer looked ordinary in the first half of IPL 2023. He picked only 1 wicket in the match against Punjab Kings where Mumbai Indians gave away 96 runs in the last 5 overs with an inexperienced bowling lineup. Punjab Kings made 214 for 8 in 20 overs and lost the match by 13 runs despite Suryakumar Yadav, and Cameron Green’s performances.

Jofra Archer played the first game against Royal Challengers Bangalore. It was a disappointing performance by Archer as they lost the match by eight wickets. Virat Kohli looked in great form against England pacer. Jofra Archer was bought by Mumbai Indians for Rs 8 Crore last season and did not feature the entire season due to an injury.

Mumbai Indians won 3 matches so far and lost 4 at the halfway stage. They were completely outplayed in the match against Gujarat Titans yesterday. Mumbai Indians lost the match by 55 runs.

Rohit Sharma led side won three successive matches against Delhi Capitals, Kolkata Knight Riders, and Sunrisers Hyderabad before losing the previous two encounters. Before the tournament, MI lost the services of Jasprit Bumrah who was ruled out due to an injury.

Rohit Sharma and Co would face Rajasthan Royals in their next match to be played at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on 30 April 2023.
