Mumbai Indian pace battery Jasprit Bumrah and Jofra Archer met ahead of the Women’s Premier League finals played on 26 March 2023 at Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai. MI has been dealt a major blow as Jasprit Bumrah has been ruled out of this edition due to a severe back injury while Jofra Archer would be making his IPL debut for Mumbai Indians.
Jofra Archer did not take part in last year’s edition due to an injury. Mumbai Indians bought Archer for Rs 8 Crore. Mumbai Indians finished last for the first time in their IPL history. They managed to win only 4 matches.
Mumbai Indians would be hoping for a much better performance in the 2023 edition of IPL. They would be aiming for a record sixth title. Jofra Archer looking for good performance in IPL 2023
After missing the Indian Premier League 2022, Jofra Archer would be looking to lead the bowling attack. He proved his worth in the One-day international series against South Africa picking his career-best figures and helping England avoid the whitewash.
Jasprit Bumrah featured in last year’s IPL with 15 wickets from 14 matches ( 14 innings) at an economy rate of 7.18 runs per over including a hat trick against Kolkata Knight Riders. He registered the best figures of 5 for 10 but Mumbai Indians lost the match.
Mumbai Indian bowling lineup needs to step and keep the scoring lid on the opponent batters while batting looks impressive with top-quality batters like Rohit Sharma, Ishan Kishan, Surya Kumar Yadav, Tim David, and Cameron Green who has the ability to change the course of game with their power-hitting.
