IPL 2023: Naveen Ul Haq’s Exclusive Story Mocking Kohli After RCB’s Loss

Virat Kohli and Naveen-ul-Haq got into a heated argument earlier this month in Lucknow.

On Sunday, May 21, following Royal Challengers Bangalore’s elimination from the IPL 2023 playoffs race, it appeared that the burgeoning rift between Naveen-ul-Haq and Virat Kohli had another subplot added to it. This rift began when the two met on May 1 at the BRSABV Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.

What’s the story about?

Gujarat Titans defeated Bangalore by six wickets at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, putting an abrupt end to Kohli’s chances of winning the championship. It also meant that Kohli’s 16-year wait to win the IPL would continue into the sixteenth edition, barring eviction from the playoffs race.

The story of Naveen is an excerpt from the UTV comedy program “The Real News,” which is produced in Ghana. The clip, which was presented by Akwasi Boadi, better known by his stage name Akrobeto, shows the comedian laughing hysterically and pleading, “God have mercy upon us. ”

The 23-year-old has tagged two individuals in the video: Afsar Zazai, a teammate from Afghanistan, and Prasanth Panchada, a physiotherapist who also works for the Kolkata Knight Riders.

Why Are the Fans Participating?

Although there is no connection at all, three things—the timing of the upload, Akrobeto’s hysterical laughter and sarcastic applause in the video, and Naveen’s previous argument with Kohli—have led some fans to believe that the Afghan speedster’s story was intended for the Bangalore batter.

Notably, Lucknow has qualified for the eliminator, where they will play Mumbai Indians on Wednesday, May 24. RCB has been eliminated from the competition. In Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Stadium, that match will be held.
