Rahul Dravid, the head coach of India’s men’s team, said it was enjoyable to simply enjoy a cricket match. On Sunday, Dravid watched RCB and RR’s IPL 2023 match.
In lieu of participating as a coach, Rahul Dravid spent a “relaxing” Sunday watching a cricket game. The IPL 2023 match between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) was viewed by the head coach of the India men’s team on Sunday at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium.
Dravid stated that it was enjoyable to watch a cricket match unconcerned
It’s interesting to note that while he was playing, Dravid captained both RCB (14 matches in 2008) and RR (40 matches in 2012–13)
Watching it this way is much more relaxing than watching it as a coach. Clearly, as a coach, you have a greater emotional investment in the contest. IPL was told by Dravid, “You are analyzing everything.”
Just lovely to arrive here, enjoy it, and watch it. The family is also present, and the atmosphere is pleasant and upbeat in this lovely stadium. I also played for two other teams. Therefore, it’s enjoyable occasionally to watch a cricket match without giving it much thought.
Dravid added that “he is keeping one eye open as a coach and has the 50-over World Cup in the back of his mind. Dravid became India’s head coach in November 2021. October through November of 2023 will see India host the ICC event.”
“You obviously have one eye open as a fan and another eye open as a coach. You always keep an eye on the boys who play in the white-ball setup (for India),” Dravid said.
“So, there are some ongoing conversations among the coaches. We always text and communicate with each other about things when we notice something happening. Nice to see some of the younger children perform so well. ”
The ICC World Test Championship (WTC) final against Australia in June will be Dravid’s next task with the Indian team.
