Ravindra Jadeja utterly failed in his role as captain, and he was forced to resign from it midway through the IPL 2022. Since joining the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) organization ten years ago, cricketer Ravindra Jadeja has grown to be an essential part of the Yellow Army and he has been doing well in the IPL 2023.

The all-rounder was also expected to succeed MS Dhoni as captain, which he did at the beginning of the previous edition after making significant progress in both areas and also seeing Jadeja smash Harshal Patel for a 37-run over in 2021.

Jadeja, however, utterly failed in his role as captain, losing six of his eight games in charge. He was consequently forced to resign from it in the middle of the season. Dhoni was given the task once more. It appears that CSK will need to look for new replacements given Jadeja’s underwhelming performance.

Days later, Jadeja’s participation in the tournament was discontinued due to a rib injury, and Dhoni was back in charge. The player and the team may have had a falling out, and numerous reports at the time hinted that he may have left the team as a result.

The saga, however, came to an end on the last day for IPL 2023 retentions when the franchise decided to keep Jadeja and Ambati Rayudu. Jadeja denied the rumours as well and shared a special social media post with the caption, “Everything is fine.”

In a recent interview with Star Sports’ “Stars on Star,” the all-rounder discussed the culture of the team and mentioned that everyone is treated equally regardless of form or experience.

“The stakeholders and management of CSK never burden their players with unnecessary stress. They still maintain the same mindset and strategy even after 11 years with CSK. Even if you are not performing well, they won’t ever make you feel bad. There are no distinctions between seniors and younger people,” he said.

All young people, including those in the U19 age group, will be treated with the same respect as senior players. Definitely no pressure. No bias exists between any players, whether they are participating or not, the all-arounder declared.
