For the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Rinku Singh claimed that he has become accustomed to playing in challenging circumstances in the IPL 2023. However, Rinku led KKR to a five-wicket victory on Monday with an unbeaten score of 21.

As a lower middle-order hitter for the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the Indian Premier League (IPL), Rinku Singh claimed that he has grown accustomed to putting games away. At the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Monday, May 8, Rinku led the Knights to a victory by five wickets over the Punjab Kings (PBKS) while remaining unbeaten on 21 runs off 10 balls with two fours and one six.

When he batted against the Gujarat Titans and hit Yash Dayal for five consecutive sixes, the southpaw claimed: “that he maintained a clear mind.”

“I didn’t consider the previous ball. After the game, Rinku was quoted as saying, “I hadn’t thought much even when I hit those five sixes.”

“I reasoned that at the very least it would be a tie if I made it through. Russell, however, stumbled a little when he started. Considering that I bat at No. 1, I’m getting used to batting in these circumstances. 5-7. So I’m also practising for those scenarios,” he said.

The Knight Riders won the game with the final shot after being asked to chase down 180. Andre Russell also had a significant impact, scoring 42 runs off only 23 balls while hitting three fours and as many sixes. After Nitish Rana left the game after scoring 51 runs, Rinku and Russell put together a 54-run fifth-wicket partnership to help KKR get back into the match.

Having won five of their last ten games, the Knights are now fifth in the standings with 10 points and a net run rate of -0.079 after the victory.
