RR vs PBKS Key Players Battle:
1. Trent Boult vs Shikhar Dhawan:
Shikhar Dhawan, the PBKS opener, scored a fantastic fifty in the previous game. This season, he has been fired a few odd times. But overall, he’s been in a great rhythm. Dhawan usually gets the team off to a good start, and they usually come out on top. Even in the T20 format, he is rock-solid.
To win the battle, RR will need to get rid of him quickly. Since making a full recovery from his injury, Trent Boult has not been the same. But he will be required to step up his game as things become more difficult. Can he quickly come up with a snorter against Dhawan?
2. Bhanuka Rajapaksa vs. Yuzvendra Chahal:
The return of Bhanuka Rajapaksa to the playing XI has given the batting some much-needed stability. He should continue to attack in the same capacity. Recent Yuzvendra Chahal performances have been mediocre at best. The fact that RR has had trouble at the plate hasn’t helped his situation. Chahal is eager to influence the game, though. He’ll face off against Rajapaksa. How will the leggie react?
3. Kagiso Rabada vs. Shimron Hetmyer:
This matchup has the potential to be crucial at the end. Shimron Hetmyer has excelled in the final overs for RR, except for one game. He has hit some beautiful sixes after finding the middle of the bat. However, Kagiso Rabada and Arshdeep Singh will be in charge of the death overs. Rabada has been taking wickets while Arshdeep has maintained this level of restraint, even though he has also given up some runs.
