“Anyway, I am getting 12 overs”, Axar makes fun of his batting position.

Delhi never quite managed to get off to the best start after choosing to bat first. A choice that to cricket experts seemed puzzling in and of itself.

The final score, 130 for eight was earned after much effort. But is still significantly below average. A bitter Virender Sehwag mocked Delhi’s disastrous batting display. Which was ruined by Mohammed Shami’s dreamy new-ball spell?

When Shami and wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha worked together. They produced four new ball wickets for just seven runs in three overs, Leaving Delhi gasping for air.

The first pitch of the inning saw Phil Salt go down for a golden duck. David Warner was unfortunate to be run out. And the final three batters in the top order had trouble with Shami’s moving ball.

After Delhi’s innings, Sehwag made fun of the management by claiming that everyone wanted Axar Patel to bat at the front of the lineup and that while he did so. The difference he made to the score was minimal.

“Axar Patel entered the game early because we all asked him to, and he did. Despite coming in the fourth over, he batted in the same position. But even though we had anticipated him to arrive early and score 60 to 70 runs, that didn’t happen because he, too, was under pressure from the fact that so many wickets had already fallen, the player said.

Sehwag criticized Priyam Garg for the run-out mix-up with Warner and said he should have given up his wicket to help Delhi reach a more respectable total.

“Given that Warner is the batter in form, Priyam Garg should have given up his wicket because he would have assisted Delhi in scoring runs and achieving a respectable total”. Due to the poor shot selection, Delhi collapsed. “Unfortunate things happened to Warner,” he said.
