IPL 2023: Shane Watson Discusses Virat Kohli-Sourav Ganguly Argument After The RCB Game

In a post-game video in the IPL 2023, it appeared that while Kohli shook hands with all of the Delhi Capitals players and staff, he completely disregarded Sourav Ganguly, the team’s director of cricket. A video showing Kohli giving Ganguly the death stare later surfaced.

The 2023 Indian Premier League (IPL) has started with some thrilling moments that have enthralled cricket fans, with many games going down to the wire. The IPL has produced some incredible moments, but it has also seen its fair share of contentious ones.

The tournament’s 20th game featured Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bangalore, and it featured the most contentious moment. Virat Kohli and Sourav Ganguly, who had a chilly relationship, were involved.

In a post-game video, it appeared that while Kohli shook hands with all of the Delhi Capitals players and staff, he completely disregarded Sourav Ganguly, the team’s director of cricket.

Virat Kohli was seen giving Sourav Ganguly a death stare in a video that later surfaced.

Former Australian all-rounder and assistant coach for the Delhi Capitals Shane Watson provided some insight into the contentious fight that took place at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.

“I’m not certain, but it could be rumour-mongering. So, it’s not something I want to get myself included in,” Shane Watson said in response to a query about the rumoured conflict between Ganguly and Kohli on The Grade Cricketer podcast.

But there was unquestionably some fire in Virat’s belly, to put it simply. That is also the last thing you want from the perspective of the opposition. When Virat is acting in that way, he is at his very best. I’m not sure why that was, he continued.

When Virat Kohli resigned as captain, Sourav Ganguly was the BCCI president. While the BCCI claimed they wanted the same captain for both ODI and T20I matches, Ganguly asserted that he had spoken to Virat Kohli to encourage him to stay as the T20I captain and not resign.

In a press conference, Kohli says refuted Ganguly’s assertion; ever since there have been rumours of conflict between the two. Fascinatingly, Sourav Ganguly unfollowed Virat Kohli on Instagram after the incident during the DC-RCB game, and a few days later, Ganguly did the same for Kohli.
