On Saturday, May 20, the Delhi Capitals (DC) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will square off at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in the 67th game of IPL 2023.

CSK’s chances of finishing in the top two were called into doubt after they lost their most recent match to the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). To finish in the top two, they will now need to defeat Delhi and hope that the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) lose to the Knight Riders.

With their bats, the Super Kings performed poorly, scoring only 144/6 runs. The most runs were scored by Shivam Dube, who contributed an unbeaten 48. The KKR team reached the goal with nine balls remaining while the CSK bowlers were unable to stop them.

While the Punjab Kings (PBKS) suffered a crushing defeat at the hands of DC. They scored 213 runs while batting first, with Rilee Roussouw providing a batting clinic. They held on to the total successfully to earn their fifth victory of the year. Warner Brothers and Co. Will now try to close out their IPL 2023 season on a high note.

It is unlikely that batters will have it easy on the Arun Jaitley Stadium wicket given its inconsistent performance thus far. To have a significant impact with the bat on this wicket, they will have to be patient.

In light of this, let’s examine the three players who will score the most runs in today’s match between DC and CSK

1 Prithvi Shaw

Before this IPL, Prithvi Shaw was subject to high expectations. He was, however, in terrible form in the first few games and was ultimately left out of the starting XI.

The brisk right-handed batter, who had previously left the team, made a triumphant 54-run outing in the most recent game.

Amidst rumours that Delhi may sell him next year, Shaw appeared to be in reasonable shape and will be hoping to end his IPL career with another big win in 2023.

2. Devon Conway

With 498 runs in 13 games at a strike rate of 49.80 and five half-centuries along the way, Chennai opener Devon Conway has been the team’s top run scorer so far this season.

In the most recent games, the Southpaw hasn’t ignited the crowd, though. Conway will aim to perform well at the plate on Saturday in anticipation of the playoffs.

Conway enjoys waiting until the middle of the innings before accelerating, a strategy that can be effective on the slow Delhi wicket.

3. David Warner

Despite the Capitals’ poor performance in the IPL this year, captain David Warner has appeared to be in good shape.

In his final game against Punjab, the Australian batsman scored 46 runs off just 31 balls, and he wants to finish strong. Warner has accumulated 430 runs at an average of 33.08 in 13 games while also hitting five half-centuries.
