Rajasthan Royals is currently facing Lucknow Super Giants in match number 26 of IPL 2023 played at Sawai Man Singh Stadium, Jaipur on 19 April.

RR captain Sanju Samson won the toss and decided to field first. LSG captain KL Rahul smashed a huge 103 m six off Yuzvendra Chahal in the 9th over that went big into the crowd. KL Rahul and Kyle Mayers struggled against disciplined Rajasthan Royals bowling. At the end of the first six overs, Lucknow Super Giants made just 37 for 0.

KL Rahul and Mayers could not hit big shots against top-quality RR bowling. LSG captain eventually fell with a simple catch to Buttler at long-off. Rahul and Mayers added 82 runs for the opening wicket. Ayush Badoni was promoted but was dismissed by Trent Boult trying to reverse sweep and hitting the stumps.

Kyle Mayers looked impressive with his shots and completed his fifty off 40 deliveries. R Ashwin dismissed Deepak Hooda and Kyle Mayers in quick succession to leave LSG in trouble. Nicolas Pooran looked in good touch with some lovely shots during the 19th over against Jason Holder.

Here is how KL Rahul entertained the fans with the six:

Sandeep Sharma struck to get rid of Marcus Stoinis in the final over. Stoinis and Pooran added 45 runs for the 5th wicket. It was a superb bowling effort for Rajasthan Royals to restrict LSG to 154 for 7 in 20 overs.

KL Rahul showed some class in the previous match against Punjab Kings with well made 74. He struggled against disciplined Rajasthan Royals comprising Trent Boult and other bowlers.

KL Rahul made 39 off 32 deliveries with 4 fours and 1 six with a strike rate of 121.87. It has been a disappointing performance by LSG batters throughout the first innings. Nicolas Pooran made 29 off 20 deliveries, and Marcus Stoinis 21 off 16 balls.

Apart from Yuzvendra Chahal going for 41 in his 4 overs, Trent Boult finished with figures of 1 for 16 in 4 overs, R Ashwin 2 for 23 in 4 overs, Sandeep Sharma 1 for 32 in 4 overs, and Holder 1 for 38 in 4 overs.

Rajasthan Royals would need 155 runs to win on their home turf and gain 2 more valuable points.
