In the IPL 2023 match against the Punjab Kings (PBKS), Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain MS Dhoni was once more at his very best. MSD’s two back-to-back sixes off Sam Curran, the most expensive player in this IPL season, assisted his team in passing the 200-run mark.

When the legendary wicket-keeper entered the field to bat after Ravindra Jadeja was dismissed, Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Stadium crowd was on its feet. In the final over of the IPL, Dhoni scored 13 off 3 balls, adding more sixes to his tally of 57.

MS Dhoni hit back-to-back hundreds for his team with a hard square cut that was purely an exhibition of his raw power and a hammer blow off a lower full from Curran.

Here is how MS Dhoni entertained the fans in IPL 2023:

With some outstanding bowling from Kagiso Rabada and Arshdeep Singh, Punjab Kings recovered in the final overs. Sam Curran also had a strong spell of bowling before MS Dhoni smashed him for two sixes in the span of two balls.

Despite the fact that captain MS Dhoni’s two sixes from the final two deliveries enthralled the local crowd, Chennai Super Kings used Devon Conway’s outstanding unbeaten 92 to post 200 for four against Punjab Kings in an IPL match on Sunday.

At the moment Ravindra Jadeja (12) fell, the crowd let out a huge roar as the talisman Dhoni entered the field. Sam Curran (4-0-46-1)’s first pitch was the first one he faced, but he was unable to connect with it. The next pitch, which he thumped to the ground for a single, was then delivered.

Ruturaj Gaikwad (37) and Conway (52 balls, 16 fours, 1 six) added 86 for the first wicket to put the home team on the right track to a respectable total after choosing to bat first.

Arshdeep Singh, Sikandar Raza, Curran, and Rahul Chahar each claimed one wicket for Punjab. Conway and Gaikwad kept up their strong batting performance as they gave the team another strong start by scoring 50 runs in the sixth over.

Conway established the tone with two boundaries in the first over from Kagiso Rabada and batted proficiently afterwards. In the sixth over of Curran’s bowling, where CSK gradually picked up the pace, he hit two consecutive fours. As the Punjab Kings bowlers struggled to make an impact, the powerplay produced 57 runs. Gaikwad was caught off guard when he jumped out to a Sikander Raza delivery and was caught for 37 by Jitesh Sharma.

After being moved up the order, the powerful Shivam Dube hit two big sixes, one-off Rabada. He and Conway were able to up the ante for the Super Kings by combining for 44 runs in just 26 balls. Dube appeared to be in good shape for more runs until he fell while attempting a big hit and was caught by Shahrukh Khan in the deep for a 17-ball 28.
