IPL 2023 [WATCH]: RR Shares Touching Montage Video of Yuzvendra Chahal And Joe Root’s Farewell

When playing for the Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, Yuzvendra Chahal and Joe Root grew close friends.

The team was eliminated during the group stage, which, unfortunately, meant that their journey was over.

Rajasthan made a touching montage video of Chahal and Root and posted it on Twitter to commemorate their friendship. The video featured Kishore Kumar’s well-known song “Chala Jaata Hoon”.

”We are going to miss these two”, read the caption, which reflected the team’s feelings. Chahal shared the video from his personal Twitter account and added three heart emojis, clearly moved by the gesture.

Rajasthan’s fans adored the video because it made them feel so much as they watched the two friends say goodbye. One viewer commented, “Yuzi is emotional for Joe Root, making my heart melt,” in reference to Chahal’s response as he hugged Root at the end of the video.

Along with engaging in hilarious banter, Chahal and Root have been entertaining their fans by creating Instagram reels and dancing together.

When the cricketers lit up the internet with their fervent dance routine, the friendship between Chahal and Root first came to light.

In the April 6 Instagram video, Chahal welcomed Root to the IPL in his signature “Yuzi style”. The star spinner for India demonstrated some peculiar dance moves for his RR teammate while swaying his legs to a catchy tune.

Yuzvendra Chahal appeared to be riding a handbag that Root was controlling through the aerobridge to get to the terminal building. The agreement was referred to as a “suitcase wali taxi” by the franchise.

For Rajasthan Royals this season, Yuzvendra Chahal was the preferred bowler. With 21 wickets under his belt, the legspinner finished the season.

However, this year, Root made his IPL debut for the Rajasthan team. In two more games, the English batter made the starting eleven and scored a total of 10 runs.
