After the IPL 2023 match at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, the videos involving former RCB captain Virat Kohli and DC’s director of cricket Sourav Ganguly were seen shaking hands. However, these two came into the news a few days ago because of their on-field behaviour.
Earlier Ganguly skipped the line to avoid shaking hands with Kohli after the game whereas the latter had given the former a death stare in the dugout.

However, after the RCB-DC match in Delhi, the two were seen shaking hands, indicating that they had likely patched things up.
Earlier, after taking the penultimate wicket in RCB’s victory during the Chinnaswamy match. Kohli gave Ganguly a look-down while he was seated in the DC dugout. Ganguly skipped the line after the game in an effort to avoid shaking hands with Kohli.
Nobody is in the dark about the conflict between Kohli and Ganguly. The removal of Kohli from the ODI captaincy in 2021. A month after he resigned from the T20 captaincy. This led to a verbal exchange between him and the BCCI board at the time. Which was then led by Ganguly.
After that, in January 2022, Kohli decided to step down from the Test captaincy. The IPL 2023 incident in Chinnaswamy undoubtedly showed that things are still not right between Kohli and Ganguly, even though there were no further reports on them. When both of them unfollowed each other on Instagram, it was later explained to the fans.
Thus, Kohli and Ganguly were among the topics of conversation for the game on Saturday. But instead of continuing their rumoured altercation. The two legends of Indian cricket opted to put the matter to rest. Ganguly and Kohli were seen shaking hands following DC’s seven-wicket victory at home.
During RCB’s match against Lucknow earlier this week. Kohli and Ganguly were both involved in a rather ugly incident. As were LSG coach Gautam Gambhir and player Naveen-ul-Haq. In reality, the BCCI fined Kohli and Gambhir 100% of their match fees, while Naveen received a 50% fee deduction.
