The Indian Premier League 2024 saw Kolkata Knight Riders win their third title with a dominating win over SRH in the finals played at Chepauk, Chennai on 26th May.

It was a brilliant season with lots of high scores which kept the audiences on their toes at the ground and people watching at home. There were a few promising youngsters from India and other countries who stood out with either the bat or ball.

Here are the 5 youngsters who stole the show in IPL 2024:

Abhishek Sharma had a memorable season for Sunrisers Hyderabad this season. He was retained by the SRH franchise.

The stylish left-handed batter proved his worth with the bat providing flying starts with Travis Head. Abhishek ended the season at 484 runs from 16 matches (16 innings) with 3 half-centuries to his name including the best score of 75 not out against Lucknow Super Giants.

Shashank Singh was one the brightest spots for Punjab Kings this season. He was bought accidentally for Rs 20 Lakhs. His performance in the entire tournament impressed one and all.

Shashank Singh ended the IPL 2024 as the leading run-getter for Punjab Kings. He made 354 runs from 14 matches (14 innings) with 2 half-centuries to his name. His best score in the tournament came against Kolkata Knight Riders where he made 68 not out that helped Punjab Kings chase down 262.

His ability to play attacking cricket to the pacers and spinners makes him a special talent. He scored at a strike rate of 164.65 which put the bowlers under immense pressure.

  1. Tristan Stubbs

Tristian Stubbs was a great buy for Delhi Capitals in IPL 2024 for 50 Lakhs. He delivered the goods with both bat and ball.

His performances stood out with the bat for Delhi Capitals. Stubbs finished as the leading run-getter for DC with 378 runs from 14 matches (13 innings) including 3 half-centuries to his name. He batted brilliantly depending on the situation making life tough for the bowlers.

During his brilliant season, Stubbs’s best score came against Mumbai Indians at 71 not out. He scored at a strike rate of 190.90. He showed intent with some big hits against spinners and pacers. Stubbs would be eager to showcase his aggressive intent in the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024.

Matheesha Pathirana had a great season for the Chennai Super Kings before picking an injury that dented their chances of reaching the playoff stage.

Pathirana’s best figures in the tournament were against Mumbai Indians with 4 for 28. He would be leading Sri Lanka’s bowling lineup for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024 after recovering from an injury that he suffered during the IPL season.
