Rajasthan Royals defeated Mumbai Indians in a one-sided contest played at Sawai Man Singh Stadium, New Delhi on 22nd April 2024. Chasing 180 runs to win, Yashavi Jaiswal showed intent right from word go keeping the scoreboard ticking along with Jos Buttler. Jaiswal made batting look easy scoring runs at a quick pace. At the end of the first six overs, RR raced away to 61 for 0.

Jaiswal put enough pressure on the Mumbai Indians bowlers, especially against Nabi and Piyush Chawla. He completed his fifty off 31 deliveries keeping the momentum going with Sanju Samson. Jaiswal was dropped by Nehal Wadehra at long-on and did not allow MI spinners to settle. He maintained the pressure hitting some lovely shots that made life tough for bowlers. It was a superb knock by Jaiswal to keep hitting attacking shots against Bumrah also.

Jaiswal eventually completed his 2nd century against Mumbai Indians off 59 balls. It was a dominating win by the RR team as they won by 9 wickets with 8 balls to spare. For MI, Piyush Chawla was the only wicket-taker. Jaiswal and Buttler added 74 runs for the opening wicket laying a strong foundation for RR to register a comfortable win.

With this win, RR is one win away from qualifying for the playoffs stage. Jaiswal played attacking shots which kept the momentum going for RR. Jaiswal and Samson added 109 runs for the 2nd wicket. Jaiswal remained not out on 104 off 60 balls with 9 fours and 7 sixes.

His knock ensured that Jaiswal returned to form this season after a string of low scores. He got starts but was not able to convert it into a big score.

Rajasthan Royals continued their domination

Rajasthan Royals is in red-hot form this season so far. They registered their 7th win this tournament and top of the points table. Sandeep Sharma was the player of the match picking up 5 for 18 and helping RR to restrict MI for 179 for 9.
