Through her post, she wanted to convey that her sister-in-law, who is about to have a baby, would benefit from an early finish, allowing her to reach them sooner. In the game mentioned, CSK batted first and scored 212/3 in their 20 overs.
Captain Ruturaj Gaikwad maintained his impressive form, scoring 98 runs off 54 balls. Daryl Mitchell achieved his maiden IPL fifty, while Sakshi’s husband only faced two balls and scored 5 runs. The CSK team comfortably wrapped up the match with the ball and secured a victory by 78 runs with 7 balls to spare. This win elevates them to the third position in the points table, joining five other teams with 10 points each.
Next up, CSK will face Punjab Kings (PBKS) at the Chepauk on Wednesday, May 1st.
Sakshi Dhoni’s post about her upcoming baby went viral after the CSK vs SRH match
Sakshi’s appeal seemed to have an impact on the CSK team as they delivered a dominant bowling performance, led by Tushar Deshpande, securing a commanding victory at their home ground.
In the earlier part of the match, captain Ruturaj Gaikwad narrowly missed out on another century, scoring a powerful 98 runs off 54 balls, driving CSK to a total of 212 for three. Daryl Mitchell contributed with a vital 52 runs off 32 balls, while Shivam Dube’s unbeaten 39 off 20 balls propelled CSK beyond the 200-run mark. Additionally, Dhoni, a crowd favourite, faced only two balls to notch up five runs, including a boundary off the first ball.
SRH’s careful batting didn’t work as they couldn’t bounce back from Deshpande’s early wickets and the pressure in the middle overs. They were all out for 134. CSK’s win ended their two-game losing streak and put them in third place with 10 points, tied with Kolkata Knight Riders, Lucknow Super Giants, and Delhi Capitals. SRH also has 10 points but slipped to fourth after their fourth loss.
