Delhi Capitals registered their 2nd win of this IPL 2024 beating Lucknow Super Giants at Ekana Stadium, Lucknow on 12th April. Chasing down 168 runs to win, David Warner fell cheaply off Yash Thakur. Jake Fraser started his IPL career with a huge six against Yash Thakur.

He then kept the pressure on LSG bowlers, not allowing them to settle. At the end of the first six overs, LSG raced away to 62 for 1. After the field restrictions, Shaw was dismissed with a stunning catch by Pooran at deep midwicket. Fraser struggled against the top-quality spin of Bishnoi. Pant and Fraser could not hit boundaries which put some pressure on the DC batting unit.

Fraser then attacked Krunal Pandya with 3 successive sixes that put enough pressure on LSG bowlers keeping the asking rate under control. He showed his class with a maiden fifty off 31 deliveries. It was a superb knock by Fraser who was eventually dismissed for 55 from 35 balls with 2 fours and 5 sixes. He and Pant added 77 runs for the 3rd wicket.

Pant also looked at ease putting LSG bowlers under severe pressure. He was dismissed trying to hit a big shot and stumped by KL Rahul. Delhi Capitals won the match by six wickets with 11 balls to spare. There were 3 changes in yesterday’s match with Mukesh Kumar and Kuldeep Yadav coming after recovering from an injury. Jake Fraser McGurk came as a replacement for Delhi to replace Lungi Ngidi. He joined for a base price of 50 Lakhs.

Kuldeep Yadav showed class after coming back from an injury.

Kuldeep Yadav was included in the playing XI for the match against Lucknow Super Giants. He proved his worth with match match-winning spell of 3 for 21. He took the wickets of Stoinis and Pooran in the same over to leave LSG in trouble.

The wrist-spinner then got rid of KL Rahul with the help of a review. It was a dream spell by Kuldeep Yadav to stall the progress of the LSG team. For his brilliant spell, Kuldeep Yadav was named player of the match award.

Delhi Capitals moved from the bottom of the points table. Their first win came against Chennai Super Kings at Vizag.
