Pat Cummins praised Virat Kohli for his intense competitiveness on the field. On April 25, Kohli and Cummins will face off as RCB and SRH clash in Match No.41 of the IPL 2024 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
Kohli currently leads the tournament’s run-scoring charts, tallying 379 runs from 8 matches at an average of 63.16, including a century against Rajasthan. Despite RCB’s struggles, with only 1 win in 8 games, Kohli has maintained exceptional form.
‘Virat is very relaxed’
“My favourite memory of Virat… can I say whenever I get him out? Someone who has played so much cricket, I admire how much he gets out of the game, gets into the contest whether he’s batting or field,” Cummins told Star Sports.
“He plays 100 days a year, and he’s up for every single one of those games. So, we are both super competitive,” he said.
“I think off the field, Virat is very relaxed, and I am pretty relaxed off the field,” Cummins added.
The Hyderabad skipper, @patcummins30, feels there's a lot in common between him and @imVkohli as they are both competitive on field and relaxed off the field! 😎

Cummins got 9 wickets in 7 games for SRH
Cummins was acquired by SRH for INR 20.50 crore in last year’s auction. With no prior T20 captaincy experience, there were uncertainties about his leadership abilities.
However, he has steered the Sunrisers with honour and integrity. Under his guidance, SRH has transformed into a bold and courageous team. Having secured victory in 5 out of 7 matches, the Orange Army stands as a formidable contender for a playoff berth.
Their confidence will be sky-high following a commanding 67-run win over Delhi at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. In 7 outings, Cummins has claimed 9 wickets at an economy rate of 8, ranking as the second-highest wicket-taker for his team.
