Rajasthan Royals’ spinner Ravichandran Ashwin took photos with young fans at the airport before the team’s upcoming IPL 2024 match against Mumbai Indians. When Ashwin arrived at the airport, two enthusiastic kids cheered for him and requested autographs.

The 37-year-old happily greeted them and posed for a picture. The Rajasthan-based team posted a video of the event on its official Instagram account on Saturday, March 30th.

Rajasthan faced a tough situation against Delhi, losing key batsmen Yashasvi Jaiswal, Jos Buttler, and Sanju Samson early after being asked to bat first in Jaipur. Ravichandran Ashwin was promoted to No. 5 when Rajasthan were struggling at 36/3 in 7.2 overs. The experienced player justified the team management’s decision, delivering a crucial innings under pressure.

He skillfully handled the Delhi bowlers, hitting impressive sixes against Anrich Nortje and Kuldeep Yadav. Ashwin scored 29 runs off 19 balls before being dismissed by Axar Patel. Overall, Ashwin played a key role in helping Rajasthan recover and stay competitive in the match despite their early struggles. His performance showed that he can handle pressure well.

Ravichandran Ashwin and Riyan Parag built a vital 54-run partnership for the fourth wicket, stabilizing the team after a challenging start. Parag remained not out on 84, his highest IPL score, guiding the team to a total of 185/5 in 20 overs.

They defended the target effectively, securing a 12-run victory over Delhi. RR will play their first away match against Mumbai at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Monday, April 1.
