[WATCH]- Trent Boult Dislodges Sunil Narine’s Leg Stump With A Full Delivery

Rajasthan Royals’ left-arm pacer Trent Boult put an end to Sunil Narine’s impressive century with an excellent delivery in the IPL 2024 match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at Eden Gardens. Boult delivered a fiery full-length ball that curved in and deceived Narine completely.

Narine, a left-handed batsman, was slightly late in bringing down his bat, allowing the ball to slip through the gap between the bat and pad and shatter the leg stump. Boult promptly approached Narine to acknowledge his outstanding innings. Sunil Narine was dismissed in the 18th over, just as KKR were nearing the 200-run mark for the innings.

Narine left the field after making 109 runs from 56 balls, boasting a strike rate of 194.64. His first T20 century comprised 13 fours and six maximums, contributing nearly half of the team’s total runs in the first innings. As the left-handed opener, he’s enjoying a remarkable season at the helm, amassing 276 runs in six matches. Notably, two of his highest scores in T20 cricket occurred within just three innings.

Trent Boult has taken Sunil Narine’s wicket twice in the IPL

In addition to the recent match, Boult has dismissed Narine twice before in the IPL. The left-handed batsman fell to the left-arm pacer twice during the 2018 season when Boult played for the Delhi Capitals franchise.

With Sunil Narine’s explosive century driving them, KKR posted a massive total of 223/6 in the first innings. Despite the RR bowlers picking up wickets towards the end, KKR comfortably surpassed the 200-run mark, setting a daunting target for RR in the chase.

The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR)are set to play against the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at Eden Gardens Stadium on April 21st.
