The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 will culminate in a thrilling final clash between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Tuesday. This year’s final is not just about cricket—it also promises a memorable closing ceremony packed with spectacular performances.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has planned a heartfelt tribute to the Indian Armed Forces for their remarkable success in Operation Sindoor. The 18th edition of the IPL ends with a patriotic touch, making this finale extra meaningful.
RCB vs PBKS, A Battle for First Title
Both teams enter the final with hopes of clinching their maiden IPL title. RCB has reached the final three times in the past—in 2009, 2011, and 2016—but lost on each occasion. Meanwhile, PBKS, formerly known as Kings XI Punjab, reached the final once in 2014 but fell short against Kolkata Knight Riders.
This year, RCB secured second place in the league stage with 19 points from 14 games and earned their spot in the final by defeating PBKS in Qualifier 1. With a strong performance in the playoffs, RCB aims to rewrite history and end their title drought.
Closing Ceremony Line-Up and Timings
The closing ceremony is set to begin at 6:00 PM IST and will be streamed live on JioStar. Fans can expect a soul-stirring performance by legendary singer Shankar Mahadevan, joined by his sons Shivam and Siddharth Mahadevan. Their musical tribute will honor those involved in Operation Sindoor and also pay respects to lives lost in the tragic Pahalgam incident.
Following the ceremony, the toss will take place at 7:00 PM, with the much-anticipated final match starting at 7:30 PM. With emotional tributes and high-octane cricket action lined up, the IPL 2025 final promises to be a fitting end to this season’s cricketing spectacle.
