With this, he became only the fourth batter in IPL history to smash a century of sixes at a single venue, joining the elite trio of Virat Kohli, Chris Gayle, and AB de Villiers, who all achieved the milestone at Bengaluru’s M Chinnaswamy Stadium.

Rohit entered the field as Mumbai Indians‘ impact substitute and contributed with a brisk 26 off just 16 deliveries, featuring three sixes. Though his quickfire knock added momentum to the innings, the veteran opener continues to search for a big score this season, as he has often fallen short after promising starts.
Nevertheless, this performance highlighted his immense power-hitting ability, especially at his home ground. Among Mumbai Indians players, Kieron Pollard remains the second-highest six-hitter at Wankhede with 85 sixes, trailing behind Rohit’s newly achieved century mark.
