IPL 2025: [WATCH]- Arjun Tendulkar Earns High Praise From LSG Ahead Of MI Clash

On Sunday, April 27, the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will face off against the Mumbai Indians (MI) in a much-anticipated afternoon IPL 2025 clash at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium. In the lead-up to the encounter, LSG released a hype video featuring their mentor, Zaheer Khan, alongside MI pacer Arjun Tendulkar, son of cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar.

The video was aptly captioned, “Lessons today, legends tomorrow.” Zaheer Khan, a renowned left-arm pacer and former MI player, played a key role for the franchise in past seasons, including the 2010 IPL final against Chennai Super Kings, where he took 15 wickets in 14 games.

Since retiring, he’s transitioned into commentary and now serves as LSG’s mentor, offering his bowling insights to the team. In a touching moment, Zaheer took time during training to chat with young left-arm seamer Arjun Tendulkar, offering valuable advice ahead of the big game.

The LSG social media team captured the interaction and shared the video on their official X account, further fueling excitement around Arjun’s rising profile. You can watch the video here:

Yograj Singh Advises Arjun Tendulkar to Shift Focus From Bowling to Batting

Arjun Tendulkar, primarily a bowler, has also shown promise with the bat in domestic cricket. Yograj Singh, father of Yuvraj Singh, suggested that with three months of training, Arjun could become the next Chris Gayle and urged him to focus more on batting than bowling.

“With regards to Arjun, I said, focus less on his bowling and more on his batting. But if Yuvraj – he and Sachin are so close – takes Sachin’s son under his wings for three months, I bet he will become the next Chris Gayle.”

”Often it happens that a fast bowler, if he undergoes a stress fracture, cannot bowl as effectively. I think that Arjun should be handed over to Yuvraj for a while,” he told CricketNext.

Meanwhile, after winning their last four matches in IPL 2025, Mumbai Indians (MI) are riding high and will be aiming to defeat Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in their upcoming clash to strengthen their position in the points table.
