Chennai Super Kings so far had a disappointing run in IPL 2020. When they won against Kings XI Punjab by 10 wickets in finally looked like they are back in business. However yesterday against Kolkata Knight Riders, they once again faltered and lost the match by 10 runs after being in a winning position.

Like everyone else, Kris Srikkanth was baffled not see Dwayne Bravo coming out to bat in the final overs who is known to finish matches. Once the wicket of Dhoni fell, Kedar Jhadav walked out to bat whereas Dwayne Bravo was sitting in the dugout.

Kris Srikkanth Questioned CSK’s Bizzare Tactics

“Omg can’t believe this! Where was #bravo? Unbelievable, said it earlier @ChennaiIPL still need to finish! Well played @KKRiders brilliant bowling by russell and narine in the death! #CSKvsKKR #IPL2020,” Kris Srikkanth tweeted.

In the end, Jhadav failed to get going and could only 7 from 12 balls when CSK needed 36 to win in the last 2 overs. Even Ravindra Jadeja failed to execute big strokes until the final few balls as CSK fell short in the run chase.

Former India batsman and chairman of selection committee Kris Srikkanth was right in pointing out CSK’s inability to finish matches in IPL 2020. The 3-time IPL champions have made some real shocking last-minute changes in the batting line-up which has come to backfire them.

Meanwhile, MS Dhoni against KKR finally promoted himself during the chase but failed to get going. Dhoni was not allowed by KKR spinners to play the big strokes, as a result, the required rate continuously started getting further away from Chennai Super Kings.

After the loss, Dhoni and Stephen Fleming were seen having an animated discussion about their batting display in the last few years.

Furthermore, CSK now has a lot of work to do if they aim to reach the playoffs of IPL 2020. They will now face Virat Kohli’s Royal challengers Bangalore on 10th October (Saturday).
