Mumbai Indians Hints At Rohit Sharma Not Playing Against CSK

Rohit Sharma is once again having a terrific IPL 2020 as skipper. The Mumbai Indians captain has thus far led his side in 9 matches in which they have ended up winning 6. As a result, the defending champions are being again touted as major contenders to win IPL in the UAE.

Today the 4 times IPL champions will renew their storied rivalry against a struggling Chennai Super Kings side. The two most successful sides will lock against each other at the iconic Sharjah Cricket stadium.

Mumbai Indians Hints At Rohit Sharma Missing Out Against CSK

Interestingly Rohit may miss the match against CSK as he is considered to be unwell. During the last match against KXIP in the super-over, Rohit seemed in discomfort and also couldn’t speak in the post-match presentation. On his behalf, Kieron Pollard spoke post-MI lost a nerve-racking match against Kings XI Punjab.

Meanwhile, with their match against CSK just a few hours away, MI has hinted at Rohit Sharma possibly not playing in the match. On their official Twitter account, MI posted a photo that had Kieron Pollard and Jasprit Bumrah in one frame.

It was the caption of the post that caught the attention of the Twitteratis and had everyone talking about Rohit probably missing from the playing XI for today’s game.

“Let’s go, Polly!”, wrote Mumbai Indians and discussions began about Pollard playing as captain against CSK in their next encounter.

Kieron Pollard has previously captained the successful Mumbai Indians franchise on a few occasions. Overall Pollard has loads of experience of playing as captain in various T20 leagues. Even in international cricket, he is currently the skipper of the West Indies squad in white-ball cricket.

Furthermore, in the post-match talk in the last match, Pollard had confirmed about Rohit being unwell and he to chat on his behalf.

“I was told that Rohit is not feeling well, that’s why I’m here to chat with you guys. We’ll see what happens but he’s a fighter”, Pollard had stated.
